Virat Kohli, the former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain known for his aggressive celebrating, has buried IPL 2022’s horrors as he already scored three halves in only four innings of the 16th edition of Indian T20 League. Kohli scored his first two fifty-pluses against Mumbai Indians, and Lucknow Super Giants. On Saturday, the RCB batsman reached the third fifty-plus against Delhi Capitals.
The former RCB captain began his inning by hitting a few boundaries against Anrich nortje. Kohli nudged some balls and followed them up with a couple of boundaries against Mitchell Marsh. Kuldeep Yadav and Mustafizur Raham were also in the mix. Kohli reached 49 in just 31 balls. The RCB batsman then nudged Rahman to get his third fifty in the season. Kohli celebrated with a ferocious celebration.
Cricket fans have had a few comments on social media about this celebration by the star batter. Some cricket fans loved watching an aggressive Kohli. Others saw it as a response to his critics.
RCB crumble after good start
Glenn Maxwell took advantage of Virat Kohli’s half-century with a quick cameo (24″ off 14). RCB collapsed after Maxwell was beaten by Kuldeep Yadav. Dinesh Karathik left for a golden Duck. Harshal Patel who was promoted to the top of the order also failed to make the most out of his opportunity, and left after scoring six runs in four balls.
Faf du Plessis’ team scored 174/6 from their 20 overs. Kohli was the highest scorer in the RCB team, while Anuj rawat, their impact player, failed miserably with a score of 15* from 22 balls.
