Legendary Games has opened up the Fortnite Section 2 season 2 conduits after the relatively agreeable weapons stockpile in Season 2 Part 2. The meta was blown to bits by the recent return of many vaulted weapons.
A full list of standard weapons, both new and unvalued, is as follows:
- Drum Gun
- Heavy Sniper Rifle
- Suppressed Assault Rifle
- Suppressed Pistol
- Suppressed SMG
- Suppressed sniper
- Tactical Ar
- Grappler
- Remote Explosives
Add in the two other major additions, the construction-destroying Drum Gun as well as the huge, terrible Weighty expert marksman rifle equipped to eliminate players with a single shot. Players now have a completely different approach in moving towards the Battle Royale gameplay.
Far-off unstable, the Grappler and other new weapons allow players to use a subtler strategy in combat.
It’s also important to note that the rate of weapon drops has changed significantly since Section 2 Season 1. Marksmen, for example, are more rare than their blue and green counterparts in Season 1.
We’re not going to lie. We expected that maybe a few weapons would be added to Fortnite in Season 2, but not a mass devaulting. You’ll also find the Mythic Weapons (we’ll cover them in a moment) and items like Creepin’ Cardboard or Fake Projectile that will help you to fly under the radar while occupying your opponents separately.
In the near future, it wouldn’t surprise me if patches changed these weapons in order to create a better meta. But for now, just join in on the chaos.
Cohorts is the most exciting new addition to Fortnite Part 2 Season 2. It’s the expansion that makes the biggest splash.
Although it’s not clear if Cohorts will remain on the island for a long time, their presence is felt. At the five newly named areas — The Yacht, The Shark, The Oil Apparatus, The Cave, and The Organization — and a few existing ones like Lovely Park, players will find computer-based intelligence-controlled Cohorts strolling around. They are strong, have shields and drop weapons. Imagine the Fortnitemares Zombie, but more grounded.
You can either kill them or investigate the area to find any enemies, chests etc. This is a great way to tie into the spy theme of the day.
You can also drag it to another type of chest which only opens for certain types of Thugs. You can either drag one to the chest or use a Telephone Box Mask to open it. But these aren’t the most amazing part. Each of these areas has an Organization Head. They are more well-being, and they sneak up on you. If you are able to overcome them, they will drop a keycard.
You’ll find the vault by following the marked line. Each of the new areas has a vault, which you can open to find a wealth of loot. You’ll find a variety of chests, along with a stockpile.
Legendary Games made an amazing coincidence by placing these vaults in the heart of newly-named, highly protected areas. The Office Supervisors, who we previously named, were a real threat to the other colleagues.
Moreover, all Fortnite players should be looking at the newly-named areas. The vaults are a bloodbath but the rewards will be worth it if you make it to the end.
Epic’s decision to introduce a PvPvE element that dominates these newly-named areas and is also, by all accounts, omnipresent throughout the rest of the island seems like a big gamble. This throws the Fortnite Battle Royale game experience out the window. I, for one, couldn’t tell if it would last a full 10-week season.
Awe-Inspirings Return To The Planning Phase for Part 2 Season 2. Five new mythic weapons have been added to the game. These are:
- Brutus’ Minigun
- Meowscle’s Peow Peow (Heavy Assault rifle)
- Midas’ Drum Gun
- Skye’s Assault Rifle
- TNTina’s Ka-Boom Bow
As you would expect, all of these Mythic weapons have improved on their standard counterpart. Brutus’ Minigun delivers more damage than a standard Minigun, and does so with pinpoint accuracy. Skye’s Scar is more damaging and has a faster fire rate. TNTina’s Ka-Blast Bow re-energizes ammunition so you don’t need to hunt down explosives.
If you are able to get one of these, it will be a huge benefit for yourself or your group. Only one Mythic weapon is realistic, and you can only get it by defeating the Organization Supervisor in a designated area.
It is once again pretty incredible to throw the Mythic weapons on top of the unvaulted weaponry. We wonder how long before these Mythic guns with unique cases are nerfed. Drum Gun and Minigun feel moronically overpowered at this time. However, the truth will eventually come out.
