Amazon announced last month that Good Omens would be returning for a second series on Prime Video after a long hiatus. We now have the first look. Michael Sheen and David Tennant return as unlikely (and unholy!) friends, and they must now deal with the sudden disappearance (and death) of archangel Gabriel.
Season 2 of explores stories that go beyond the source material, according to Amazon. Gaiman returns as executive producer, co-showrunner and director of all new episodes. Douglas Mackinnon is also involved. The season 2 trailer introduces new characters, such as Liz Carr, who plays the angel Saraqael, Shelley Conn, who portrays Beelzebub, and Quelin Sepulveda, who is an angel Muriel, and a police officer.
Season 2 of Good Omens is comprised of six episodes. All of these will be available to stream on July 28th.
