After a few years since the show’s debut, The Good Omens finally gets its second season. Amazon has announced that the second season of Good Omens will be available on Prime Video starting July 28th. Neil Gaiman, the co-creator of the series, will be returning as executive producer and showrunner. The main cast members are also back. This includes the stars Michael Sheen and David Tennant as well as Jon Hamm and Gloria Obianyo.
Amazon has confirmed that new episodes will be based on the novel by Gaiman and Pratchett. Here is the official description.
The original cast will be joined by new actors, such as Liz Carr, who plays angel Saraqael; Quelin Sepulveda, who portrays angel Muriel; and Shelley Conn, as the demon Beelzebub. Amazon released this artwork to tease Season 2. While there is no trailer or real images, we do have some art.
Aziraphale, Crowley, and Muriel are living their normal lives in London, among the mortals. A new angel, Muriel, shows up at their door unexpectedly. The demon and angel will need to solve a puzzle before they can return to their normal lives.
Good Omens season two will star Michael Sheen as angel Aziraphale, and David Tennant as demon Crowley. Doon Mackichan will return as Michael and Gloria Obianyo as the archangel Uriel. Jon Hamm also returns as Gabriel. Miranda Richardson and Maggie Service are also returning from season 1, although they play different roles. Nina Sosanya is also back, but in a different role. This season, Liz Carr is playing Saraqael. Quelin Sepulveda plays Muriel and Shelley Conn plays Beelzebub.
Gaiman has tweeted that he might not be able to promote Good Omens as he’d hoped due to the writers’ strike. Gaiman tweeted he may not be able promote Good Omens in the way he would have liked because of the writers’ strike.
Prime Video will release the entire second season of Good Omens on July 28. It will consist of six episodes.
