Andy’s pivotal life moment was the move of his family to Shaker Heights, Ohio. He discovered golf in Shaker Heights, Ohio, and it became a passion of his. Barbara Martin became his love after he began his Dartmouth College academic journey.

Andy and Barbara moved to Huntington Woods in Michigan after finishing their studies at the University of Michigan. In Huntington Woods, Michigan, Andy and Barbara raised their two daughters Sarah, and Emily. Andy’s commitment towards his family was apparent in how he managed to balance a demanding job at Arthur Anderson, later Accenture, and be an ever-present presence in the lives of his daughters.
Beyond the Workplace: Golf, Community Service, and Mentorship:
Andy retired at 49 and pursued golf fervently, achieving his goal of becoming a scratch player. Ses leadership qualities were evident in his roles as a member of the Boards of the Detroit Skating Club, and the Detroit Golf Club. Through events such as the Rocket Mortgage Classic, he made a significant contribution towards local charitable efforts.
The Scottsdale Chapter and Love for Travel
Barb and Andy’s Scottsdale dream home became their winter getaway. Arizona is a lifestyle that the couple has embraced, from hiking to golfing. The couple’s shared love of travel led them to adventures in Italy and New Zealand.
Commitment and commitment to extended family:
Andy was the cornerstone of his extended families. His commitment was unwavering. He hosted annual celebrations and supported both parents in their later years.
