Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Lucknow Super Giants will continue to be the talk of the town for a long time. Gautam Gambhir’s verbal spat with Virat Kohli during the LSG vs RCB match will continue to be a talking point. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has fined the two for their unruly behavior during the match.
The IPL Code of Conduct was broken by both Kohli and Gambhir, who both admitted to a Level 2 offense under Article 2.21. They were each fined 100% of the match fee. Naveen-ul-Haq, the fast bowler from Lucknow who was involved in a heated argument with Virat Kohli, was fined 50% of her match fee.
Naveen-ul Haq, a bowler for the Lucknow Super Giants, was fined 50% of his match fee after he violated the IPL Code of Conduct at the Bharatratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cricket Stadium in Lucknow during the TATA Indian Premier League 2023 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore. BCCI released a statement on Tuesday stating that Mr Naveen ul-Haq had admitted to the Level I offence under Article 221 of the IPL Code of Conduct.
The fire is still burning.
The fire that started on the field between Naveen ul Haq and Virat Kohli is still burning, and has now been taken off. Both people have posted stories about “truth”, ‘perspective’, and “who deserves it”. Kohli said, “Everything that we hear is an idea, not a truth”. Naveen-ul Haq wrote: “Everything we see is an opinion, not the truth”.
It will be fascinating to see how the two teams react if they meet again in the future. This verbal spat should not be taken personally by either side and they can move on.
