Babar’s thumping of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s T20 numbers was even more impressive.
Babar allowed Mohammad Rizwan, who scored 32 off 20 balls, to flourish while he managed 26 off 16.
Matt Henry struck twice in succession in only 13 balls after the midway mark in the innings.
Babar quickly changed gears after he turned fifty and began to focus on boundaries. Iftikhar Ahmed was a great help to him in his 19th ball.
Babar’s third T20I hundred was scored with a boundary smash over cover on the last ball of the game.
Babar has set a T20I record for most hundreds as a T20I captain. He beat India’s Rohit Sharma by a ton.
Rohit Sharma leads the chart with four T20I thumps.
He also reached his 10th century in T20 cricket. This puts him just behind West Indies legend Chris Gayle. Six of them came during his tenure as captain, which is second only to Australia’s Michael Klinger (7).
Babar now has five more points than Kohli and Faf Du Plessis.
The second T20I in Lahore saw Pakistan win by 38 runs thanks to Babar and Haris Rauf, who took four wickets for a very economical price.
